Post-apocalyptic RPG horror simulation platform
Brigand: Oaxaca is a single-player tactical role-playing game that takes place in an immersive open-world environment. Set in a post-apocalyptic timeline, players will be required to perform various tasks if they hope to eventually emerge unscathed.
Brigand; Oaxaca offers levels of survival-based gameplay that are similar to other RPGs, such as The Forest. This feature is then combined with real-time strategy, enabling Brigand to bridge the gap between a traditional first-person shooter and an exploration SIM.
Freedom of choice
While this is indeed a role-playing game, it should be mentioned that players are provided with a refreshing degree of freedom. They are in complete control of their own actions. Users can even choose to kill friendly NPCs if they wish. This helps contribute to a truly non-linear storyline.
Skills and upgrades
It is possible to obtain 14 distinct skills while progressing through the game. These do not include the impressive 80 abilities that can be unlocked. Examples include unique firearms, learning voodoo magic, and crafting various items.
Dynamic gameplay
Users could instead choose to create their own storyline from scratch. This could be to add a bit of fun to the game or to design unexpected outcomes based on script modifications. In other words, Brigand: Oaxaca is just as much of an open-world sandbox as it is a first-person RPG.
A challenging and dynamic first-person shooter
Many users state that the gameplay associated with Brigand: Oaxaca is similar to that experienced in Deus Ex. When we then include elements, such as a crafting system based on the Anarchist's Cookbook and a host of imported assets users can download, it becomes clear that this game is far from a generic RPG.
